A
TRIBUTE TO MOTHER
We
cannot understand just why
God calls our loved ones home.
So we must trust a loving God
Whose reasons are His own.
I
think back on my mother's life:
Her kind and loving ways.
And I wish I had. another chance
To voice my thanks and praise.
It
seems we often wait too late
To let our loved ones know
How very much they mean to us.
We fail our love to show.
My
mother found the time to help
So many folks we knew.
She said the more she loved the Lord,
Her love for others grew.
I
tried to emulate her ways.
So foolish on my part.
But now I try to live more like
The Christ within her heart.
The best way I can honor her
Is to live a good life here.
If she could speak, I think she'd say:
"The Lord will help you, dear."
