On Sunday, March 6, 2005 Eleventh Avenue Church celebrated the 55th anniversary of the church, with a special anniversary service. The day of activities included a "homecoming" with services at 10:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., a noon meal, and a 2:00 p.m. service.


Song leader Sam Poynor led the congregational singing during the first service.


Song leader Rual Perkins led the congregational singing during the 11:00 a.m. service.


The Eleventh Avenue Choir performed.


Pastor R. B. Shiflet remembered many joyous times over the past 54 years - and shared in the 11:00 a.m. message.

Mrs. Ruth Mason, left, and Mrs. Thelma Bishop are long-time members
of Eleventh Avenue Church, and both are beyond 90 years of age.
