Dear in Christ:
We greet you all in the name of our Lord and Head Jesus Christ!
We want to thank you for all the prayers you made for the first church anniversary of Butuan. We've got a very wonderful and a very successful celebration. The Words of God were vividly delivered by the guest speaker. I was also presenting the dispensational study feature and so encouraging to know that many want to listen more and know . . . only sad to say that we forgot to bring the dispensational chart because of so many things that we took concerns of that day. Anyway the Word is presented and most of the response were positive.
Regarding
the attendance. We can't believe it! Praise the Lord! It reaches beyond our
expectation. We only expect upto 50 persons but the attendees went out to 88
youth and adult and 5 children with the total of 93 people all in all. We never
worried about the budget for the food as long as these people could hear the
gospel and might be saved. To let you know that the 93 people were not occupied
at the function hall and so others were only watching and listening from the
outside. Lord willing we could have our own church to occupy as much as it.
The deputized supervising minister of agusan del norte (Pastor Climaco Solis) was there and officiated the two child dedications. He aslo delivered a chalenging dedicatory homily to the listeners. Pastor Reu Sausa was also there and he led the worship services.
I was so surprised to know that youth in the church instead of becoming weak due to our absence but they becomes so zealous for the work of the Lord and active. I then remember the history of the Carlock church that it only started with five youth. Hopefully the Lord will the work in the Butuan and will continue to use these young people so with the adults in the church.
Attached herewith are the pictures taken from the 1st church anniversary for you to see and praise the Lord with us. We just want to ask apology that you might not see the entire hall in the pictures because of the over crowded population inside the hall and we can't have the right ploce of positioning our cameras.
Yours in Christ,
Noel
