You are invited to join us at Eleventh Avenue Church and enjoy fellowship with our family of believers and Bible study without fear of pressure to join a church. We believe in God’s word, rightly divided…which basically means understanding what portion of the Bible is written “to us” and what portion is written “for our learning”.
“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given, and the government shall be upon his shoulder; and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” ~ Isaiah 9:6
“2020 has been a unique year, to say the least.
As we approach this Christmas season, many are struggling with doubt, fear, and an overall feeling of loss of certainty in a world of chaos.
Please join us this coming Sunday (November 29) as we begin a four-week series leading up to Christmas.
Each week we will examine one of the four titles used for Jesus Christ in Isaiah 9:6. This series will show us how to find true peace during this holiday season in the challenging times in which we live.”
Eleventh Avenue Church is an independent and evangelical Bible church that proclaims the Grace of the Gospel of God, rightly dividing the Word of Truth and speaking the truth in Love.
Located just two blocks south of the West City Park, we have been in the same location since 1950.
1. The total depravity of man — “There is none righteous, no not one.” “For all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God.” (Romans 3:10, 23)
2. The all-sufficiency of the work of Christ on the cross — “For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.” “But God commandeth His love toward us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” “Much more then, having been justified by His Blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.” (Romans 5:6, 8, 9)
“For there is one God and one Mediator between God and Men, the Man Christ Jesus; Who gave Himself a ransom for us all, to be testified in due time.” (I Timothy 2:5, 6)
“For He hath made Him (Christ) to be sin for us, Who knew no sin, that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him. (II Corinthians 5:21)
3. The simple means of salvation — “For by Grace are we saved through faith, and not that of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works lest any man should boast. (Ephesians 2:8,9)
“Therefore, being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” (Romans 5:1)
